As the project partner representing Germany, <strong>mascontour<\/strong> contributed to the collection, analysis and structuring of national sustainability schemes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This research covers <strong>six countries<\/strong> \u2013 Greece, Spain, Cyprus, France, Germany and Italy \u2013 and brings together international certificates, national labels, territorial initiatives and sector\u2011specific standards used by tourism businesses across Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What\u2019s now available online?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>1.<a href=\"https:\/\/83c973a9-6c1b-421e-a9eb-f8e88a93779a.filesusr.com\/ugd\/26eff0_79f05beab7444041a35c9d1234f617bf.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>European Consolidated Research Report<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A cross-country synthesis offering:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>an overview of <strong>80+ sustainability systems<\/strong> identified across the partner countries,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>key trends shaping the sustainability certification landscape,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a comparison of environmental, social, economic and integrated systems,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and the common methodology applied by all research teams.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. <strong>National Reports &amp; Certification Fiches<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each partner country produced:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a national executive summary,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and detailed fiches with information on governance, scope, audit requirements, applicability, and links to EU\/international frameworks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All national documents\u2014including Germany\u2019s\u2014are publicly accessible for anyone wishing to explore sustainability schemes in more depth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. <a href=\"https:\/\/83c973a9-6c1b-421e-a9eb-f8e88a93779a.filesusr.com\/ugd\/26eff0_e750ff8bd82e4467be4cdefb294103e0.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Guidelines for Tourism SMEs<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>User\u2011friendly guidelines help small tourism businesses to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>understand existing sustainability systems,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>identify the most suitable one for their needs,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>prepare for audits and data collection,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>integrate sustainability into day\u2011to\u2011day operations,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and communicate their efforts effectively.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These guidelines will be complemented by training sessions and coaching activities later in the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why this matters for tourism SMEs<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Sustainability systems can help tourism SMEs to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>improve environmental and social impact,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>reduce operational costs through smarter resource use,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>prepare for future EU requirements,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>increase visibility on booking platforms,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and strengthen credibility with today\u2019s responsible travellers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This research forms the basis for the next steps in the project, including the development of the <strong>fuTOURiSME Self\u2011Assessment Tool<\/strong> and the <strong>Sustainable Tourism Toolkit<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Next Steps <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Development of training modules and SME coaching<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Creation of the Self\u2011Assessment Tool<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Publication of the Sustainable Tourism Toolkit<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Access the full resources<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>All materials are available on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.futourisme.eu\/support-to-smes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>fuTOURiSME website.<\/strong><\/a> We invite tourism SMEs, destinations, and industry stakeholders to explore the findings and make use of these practical resources.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Under the fuTOURiSME project, our consortium has completed an important milestone: a comprehensive mapping of the sustainability systems most relevant for tourism SMEs across Europe.
