Services provided:
Designing and running a TVET-based sustainable tourism training model in Kwale (Kenya) and Zanzibar, focusing on women’s access to green tourism jobs and inclusion of youth and persons with disabilities
Conducting labour market and training needs assessments for green tourism and hospitality jobs, including analysis of local TVET provider capacities and equipment gaps
Developing and updating short, practice-oriented TVET courses that integrate green skills, women’s economic empowerment, safe working conditions and disability inclusion
Building the capacities of TVET institutions and trainers through coaching on gender-sensitive, practice-based, green tourism training and support with essential training equipment
Advising hotels and tourism companies on gender-sensitive and gender-transformative HR policies and procedures, including prevention of sexual and gender-based violence and creation of safe workplaces
Delivering participant training through blended classroom and workplace-based learning, organising internships and attachments, and facilitating job placement and job fairs that connect graduates with tourism employers
Facilitating multi-stakeholder dialogue between businesses, TVET providers and government, managing tuition-fee subsidies for selected training centres, and implementing monitoring, reporting and documentation of lessons learned and scalable models
