ITB Berlin 2025 has concluded, and we are pleased to share our impressions and results with you. Here you can find an overview of all our activities and we invite you to watch our video with impressions of mascontour’s ITB participation. A huge thank you to our amazing team of seventeen, who worked tirelessly before and during the event to make our trade fair appearance a success. Here’s a quick summary of what we achieved:
- Presence of our ITB Sustainability Lounge for the second time in a row. Again, it was the meeting place of the sustainability community where representatives of 50 different organisations connected and exchanged. We had a 93% occupancy rate, thank you very much!
- We had the pleasure to support a delegation of rural tourism stakeholders of the official ITB Berlin host country Albania. Four events at the Albanian booth took place during ITB, offering networking opportunities for tour operators and journalists.
- We also supported six ambitious travel agencies from Tunisia, guiding them through pitch trainings and B2B opportunities to showcase their alternative tourism experiences at ITB Berlin 2025, followed by an inspiring two-day study tour in Berlin and Brandenburg.
- We supported Serbia as PR and marketing representatives for the German-speaking market, discussing upcoming press trips with partners as well as major events such as the Belgrade World Expo 2027, all under the motto “Experience! Serbia” (More PR information).
- We also supported Montenegro in terms of marketing and public relations. During ITB, a presentation of Montenegro covering the new marketing campaign as well as the new quality label followed by a Happy Hour were organized, with participation of media and trade partners (More PR information).
Last but not least, we participated in four ITB events:
- mascontour Spotlight: Is Sustainability Still the Key to a Resilient Tourism Industry? In our presentation on the Lighthouse Stage, we showed that sustainability remains essential in tourism but is no longer the sole key to resilience. Global uncertainties, climate change, and political shifts threaten past progress, requiring the industry to balance sustainability with innovation, modernization, and risk prevention. Instead of just moving forward, tourism must now defend its achievements while adapting to new challenges. True resilience comes from a holistic approach that integrates sustainability with competitiveness and transformation. The future of tourism depends not just on being sustainable, but on being adaptable and resilient.
- Tourism Industry Leaders Endorse the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs); and mascontour is one of the signatories. The WEPs initiative is driven by collective action aimed at dismantling discriminatory structures, enhancing women’s rights, resources, and representation. This commitment marks a significant step toward fostering sustainable and inclusive practices in the global tourism industry.
- We were speaker, moderator and panelist during the Official Launch of the Visit East Africa – Feel the Vibe Tourism Brand; and during the ITB Convention session“Speed Dating with Sustainable Solutions”.
Many thanks to our clients, partners, attendees of our events and guests of the ITB Sustainability Lounge. We are looking forward to further strengthening our partnerships from ITB Berlin 2025 onwards.
