In an online workshop, Diana presented representatives of the Office National du Tourisme (ONTT) and the Tunisian Ministry of Tourism the results and recommendations of a comprehensive image analysis of Tunisia as a travel destination, which was conducted by mascontour in five European source markets over the past few months.
A total of 3,639 consumers from France, Germany, the UK, Italy and Belgium took part in the online survey, which was supplemented by focus group interviews with tour operators in the five source markets.
The study realised on behalf of GOPA contains, among other things, concrete recommendations on where Tunisian tourism stakeholders need to focus in order to further strengthen the perception of Tunisia as a travel destination. The study was implemented as part of the “Tounes Wijhetouna” programme funded by the European Union.
