As part of the National Tourism Organisation of Montenegro’s (NTO Montenegro) public relations and marketing activities, mascontour regularly organises press trips for leading media outlets from the German-speaking market. The aim is to provide travel journalists with authentic first-hand insights into Montenegro’s diverse tourism offer and to strengthen the country’s position as an attractive year-round destination.
In June 2026, mascontour organised another press trip under the theme “Water Experiences in Montenegro.” The programme gave participating journalists the opportunity to discover some of the country’s most spectacular natural and cultural attractions.
Highlights of the itinerary included:
- a boat excursion on the stunning Piva Lake
- rafting on the Tara River, one of Europe’s most renowned outdoor adventure experiences
- a boat tour through the picturesque Bay of Kotor
- a visit to the UNESCO-listed Old Town of Kotor
- an authentic experience at a traditional rural household
- a sailing excursion along the Adriatic coast departing from Tivat
Throughout the trip, participating journalists explored Montenegro’s unique combination of breathtaking landscapes, cultural heritage, outdoor adventure, and local hospitality. They will share their experiences and impressions with a broad audience through their respective media channels, helping to raise awareness of Montenegro as a distinctive travel destination.
In addition to these group press trips, mascontour is currently organising individual media visits with influential German publications such as Reise & Preise and Outdoor Magazin. These publications reach a large audience of travel enthusiasts and outdoor-oriented consumers, further strengthening Montenegro’s visibility in the German-speaking market and showcasing the country’s rich potential for nature-based and experiential tourism.
